The Bible is So Good!, A.C.

In 2001, I graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in engineering. Although I had attended church meetings regularly and had a strong faith in God, I had reached a plateau in my Christian walk. At that time I enrolled in the Full-Time Training in Anaheim.

One thing that I have greatly appreciated from my time in the Training is the healthy life habits that are fostered. For example, although I have read the Bible on and off throughout my childhood and college years, in the Training I began to love the Word. I remember one time as I was waiting for a friend to preach the gospel with, I began reading through my little pocket Bible. I was fascinated. I felt like I was eating real food and something within me was deeply satisfied (Jeremiah 15:16). When my friend arrived, I remarked, “The Bible is so good!” (Psalm 119:103, Hebrews 6:5). This startling realization was both profoundly simple and yet a great milestone in my Christian experience.

It is realizations like these that are the foundation of a normal, advancing Christian walk. I appreciate how the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, as taught in the Full-Time Training, always brings me back to the Bible and to cultivating a personal and intimate knowledge of my dear Lord Jesus through the Word of God.
